Don Mack, Suzuki Swift
Email, September 2018
Sis-in-law was looking for a Suzuki Swift and I was tasked with the job of sourcing it. I searched everywhere online like Autotrader and eBay as well as checking out our local dealers.
From a short-list, one car stood out as being very well priced and a higher spec than most of the others. Only problem was, the dealer was over 200 miles away!
Would it be worth it? Would the car turn out to be as described? Could I trust this company? As it turned out, the name actually rang a bell - I'd bought a car a couple of years back for my brother, and it was from the same company! My bro is still happily driving his Qashqai and I recalled him saying the guys at the dealer were friendly and efficient, so I decided this Swift was worth pursuing.
The guy I initially dealt with was Liam who was super-efficient, personable and honest in his dealings. The deal was done.
One 5-hour train journey later - with a friendly Tempest guy collecting me from their local station - and the car was everything I'd hope it would be. Tempest were in no hurry to release it to me the week before as they'd only just received it into stock and they insisted it went through their full PDI before handing it over - and I found the car sitting in the late-afternoon sun looking absolutely stunning.
Liam was away, but the sale was completed with complete efficiency by Eddie.
I understand Tempest's 'way' is to price their cars very competitively and not have them sitting around for silly periods. I can vouch that their price for this Swift WAS very competitive and made my journey fully worth while.
As I waited for sis to transfer the money balance, I admired some beautiful cars in their showroom (and lots more outside!); a Maserati, a couple of top-of-the-range Audis, an eye-watering Merc convertible...
But the little Suzuki Swift didn't disappoint either :-)
Thoroughly recommended.
